E-tips

> There is no use protecting a resume by password as the point in sending an application is to get the receiver (future employer, the consultant company) to open it, read it and conduct an interview with the potential candidate.
> The right solution is to send the CV separately from the motivation letter. Copying the resume in the e-mail should be avoided as rows can slip, certain characters cannot be used or have equivalents, font type and style can be overwritten (txt vs. html), etc.
> It is worth attaching a maximum of 3 files to the application e-mail (cover letter, Hungarian and English/German version of the CV).
> Do not zip the attached files.
> Do not send scanned or copied certificates, it is sufficient to present them on the occasion of the personal meeting.
> It is advisable to insert a photo of the applicant to the resume instead of attaching it to the application material.
e-tips
> It is most suitable to use font types which are commonly accepted (e.g. Times New Roman, Arial, or other versions of these). The ideal font size: not too small, not too big, ranging from 10 to 14 depending on the font usually appropriate.
> Keep in mind the size of the attached photo. A passport photo of good quality can be 20 Kbytes in .jpg, a good CV is around 100 Kbytes. A resume with a size above 200 Kbytes is unnecessarily large.
> The most appropriate to scan our passport photo, or select an elegant business-like photo like photo. Provocative photos or ones taken during summer holidays, parties or in leisure wear are not recommended.
> The inserted photo should not be older than 1 year. A photo, which has not been updated for a while might give the impression of negligence, indifference and may have the opposite influence beyond the first personal meeting and rather weakens than enhances the candidate?s position.
> Candidates should always check the spelling and grammar of sent items. Otherwise the author seems to be in a hurry, not paying enough attention or properly prepared.
