Outplacement

The Outplacement Program of HILL International

I. The Aim of the Program: outplacement

Our goal is to provide such knowledge, skills, and possibilities for the displaced people that make them able to find a suitable job again within a shortest possible period. To be more specific:

What do we mean by Possibilities?

The participants of our Outplacement Program get registered automatically in our database, thus they may be offered a job if we ever happen to search people for a position with fitting requirements.
We provide administrative support for the participants to a previously agreed extent (using Internet, editing documents, scanning, photocopying, etc.)
Participants receive a written evaluation of the competence assessment (a part of the outplacement program) with which they can justify their strengths at work.

What do we mean by Knowledge?

HILL gives a little handbook to the participants that summarizes the most important principles and facts about searching for a job. It contains patterns of resume and cover letter as well.
The program takes place in an interactive way. We try to tailor the process to the demand of the clients, thus they always has the chance to discuss their problems and questions with the consultants - even with respect to their real applications.

What do we mean by Skills?

Participants can practice creating resumes, interviewing, and other techniques of finding a job with the help of our consultants.

II. Frames of the program:

The program consists of indepent modules that can be applied separately as well. However, it is strongly recommended to go through the whole program.

  1. MODULE

Introductory talk

Clarifying the actual situation. Discussing expectations and possibilities. Exploring the emotional, motivational and existential background of the participants. Getting to an agreement about the goals and frames of the following common work.

  1. MODULE

Creating resume

The participant and the Consultant together make a cv that is suitable for a specific real advertised position the participant wants to apply for, or one that is good for registering in the database of headhunter companies. During the common work, the consultant makes the participant familiar with the principles, viewpoints and techniques of creating a good CV.

Interview training

The Consultant makes a detailed interview with the Participant and then they discuss the experiences with special respect to the question of 'How could the Participant effectively represent himself'?

Administrative support (to a previously agreed extent)

Using the Internet, copying, scanning, taking photos, editing documents etc.
The program is closed by making up a tailored action plan for the Participant, which contains concrete steps for him concerning the following period of searching for a job on his own.
HILL International provides all the places and equipments that are required for the program. We try to adapt the appointments to the demads of the Participants flexibly - within the capacity of our office.

III. During the program, Participants will receive the following documents: outplacement

> A liitle handbook that summarizes the most important core information about creating a CV or a cover letter, interviewing, building relationships, and searching for a job
> A written evaluation of the competence assessment that is made by a psychologist expert of HILL International
> A CV that is suitable for applying for a specific job, or for sending into headhunters' database.

IV. Price of the program:

It is possible either to leave modules, or to apply them more then one time. In these cases the price changes accordingly of course and makes a subject to further agreement.

V. Why we recommend our program to the displaced people?

> Because they will have a greater chance for a job offer by getting registered in HILL's database.
> Because they will learn the effective know-how of searching for a job, and this can be useful for them even later in the future.
> Because the program helps them in becoming aware of their strengths and fields to be developed.
> Because they will have a realistic picture about the labour market and their possibilities.
> Because they will experience support in this very difficult period of their life, and will have the possibility to discuss any emerging question with experienced consultants.

... and for the companies that plan to cut the headcount:

> Because the program will help them to maintain their good image and prestige as an employer either in the eye of the displaced people, or in theirs who stay employed, or in the whole labour market.
> Because it is a good possibility to support such people in their career who produced a lot of value for the company earlier.
> Because it prevents the spread of negative rumours and news about the company
> Because it makes the exchange of information (that is necessary to give over a job) more easy between the displaced people and the ones who stay employed.
> Because it eases the inevitable stress and hostile feelings that are initiated by displacing people, and contributes by this to make the necessary changes successfully.
